A few days ago, the energy storage bidirectional converter provided by FGI for Indonesia's Bangka Island energy storage project successfully completed installation and commissioning and successfully connected to the grid, and was officially delivered to local large palm oil processing enterprises. According to professional statistics, Indonesia's palm oil production accounts for about 60% of the global share. Palm oil from crude oil to refined oil processing process high energy consumption, Indonesia's current energy structure is still dominated by traditional energy, the local government is actively promoting the high energy consumption industry clean energy utilization and development, plans to increase the proportion of clean energy utilization to 23% in 2025, the next 15 years to increase 75GW renewable energy installed capacity, And achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
1. Project background
Bangka Island is located in the South Sumatra Islands of Indonesia and has an area of 11,330 square kilometers. It is a tropical rainforest climate with an average annual rainfall of about 3000 mm and high temperature throughout the year, which has high requirements for the environmental adaptability of equipment.
2.FGI scheme
FGI provided 1.725MW PCS for this project. Based on the project location on the sea island, it has the environmental characteristics of high temperature, high humidity and high salt spray, and adopts C5 protection level energy storage bidirectional converter. After the project is put into operation, it is integrated with photovoltaic power generation and stable operation.
3.project benefit
After the full capacity of the project is connected to the grid for power generation, it can supply power to the user's factory and sell electricity to the outside world. During the day, it can supply power to the factory through photovoltaic power generation, and supply power to the factory load and energy storage charging. At night, it can supply power to the load through energy storage.
Due to the different application scenarios of the power generation side, the power grid side and the user side, the needs are not the same, based on this, FGI has launched a variety of technical routes of equipment to accurately adapt to the unique requirements of each scenario.
In view of the randomness, volatility and intermittency of new energy generation, to achieve the complementarity of wind and solar storage on multiple time scales, and to improve the controllability and schedulability of new energy generation, in order to improve the absorption capacity of large-scale new energy and solve the problem of insufficient active support capacity, FGI has launched a low-voltage centralized energy storage system and a high-voltage cascade direct energy storage system suitable for large-scale energy storage systems.
At the same time, the company has launched energy storage equipment to meet the needs of industrial and commercial applications, and meet the needs of peak and valley arbitrage, energy time shift, demand management, backup power, power spot trading, and power auxiliary services.
